Dr. Patricia Bezerra is a biotechnology scientist with extensive experience in cancer research, particularly in breast cancer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and has built a diverse research background spanning reproductive biology, immunology, enzyme immobilization, and fermentation technologies. She was a fellow of the Science Without Borders Program (2013–2014), completing training at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (NE, USA) and the Florida Institute of Technology (FL, USA). During this period, she also interned at the Experimental Medicine Research Center at Rinat–Pfizer in South San Francisco, where she worked on Type 2 Diabetes research.
Dr. Bezerra later joined Veritas Biotecnologia in Brazil, contributing to the development of new therapies and diagnostics for cancer and tuberculosis. She earned her PhD from the University of São Paulo (USP), with part of her doctoral work conducted at the University of Porto, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at USP.
With 8 years of experience in breast cancer research, Dr. Bezerra currently serves as the lead researcher at PHP Biotech, where she drives scientific development and discovery efforts.
